Cerro Castillo Mountain Guides offers regular and customized mountaineering training courses. We teach rock climbing, traditional multi-pitch alpine climbing, ice climbing, glacier walking, mountain security and rescue, ski touring, etc. All our courses are 3-4 days long and the cost will depend on the number of participants and logistics required. There is no better experience than discovering the wilds of Patagonia while improving your mountaineering skills !


The Cerro Castillo National Reserve is located in the southern Chilean region of Aysen at approximately 64 km from the city of Coyhaique. Established in 1970, it spans over 179550 ha. The reserve lies between the hydrographic bassins of the rivers Aysen and Ibanez and is crossed by the famous Carretera Austral (southern road). It hosts a wide variety of natural features such as the 2675m high Cerro Castillo, undoubtedly one of the most spectacular peaks of Patagonia.
